The Journey
Learning & Creating
From August 17–24, we gathered in the jungle of Tulum for an unforgettable week of music, creativity, and connection. This retreat brought together producers, DJs, and music lovers from around the world to dive deep into electronic music production, guided by our Sound Lab mentors.
Each morning started with holistic practices - sound healing, breathwork, and grounding in nature - setting the tone for creativity and flow. By mid-morning, the villa turned into a hive of energy: laptops open, Ableton sessions loaded, and ideas bouncing between mentors and participants.
Daily Masterclasses – Our instructors shared advanced techniques in Ableton Live 12, sound design, arrangement, and mixing.
Studio Time – Each participant had focused sessions in our acoustically treated jungle studio, experimenting with Ableton Push, Maschine, and a full suite of plugins.
Collaboration – Small group jams and one-on-one feedback turned sparks of inspiration into fully formed tracks.

Community & Inspiration
Of course, it wasn’t all work. Shared meals, cenote breaks, and late-night listening sessions created bonds that went beyond music. The jungle vibes, Tulum sunsets, and the energy of the group gave every track a unique flavor.
One of the highlights was our industry night, hosted at the villa, where local artists joined and connected with our students. It was a chance to network, share music, and feel part of the wider Tulum scene. We also explored the local nightlife with a visit to La Pizzine’s legendary Monday industry night, where the group soaked in the authentic underground Tulum energy.
To close the retreat, we shared a sunset meal by a cenote, celebrating the music we made and the friendships we built. The perfect ending to a week that blended creativity, nature, and community.

The Outcome
By the end of the week, each participant walked away with:
A finished track project
New tools and workflows to fuel their music journey
Connections with like-minded producers from around the world
Memories of a week where music, creativity, and community merged perfectly
